The customer requested that she needed a fire break around her home to protect her house & propane tank from an unexpected wildfire. So, we came up with a plan to build an approx. 12 wide fire break around the home using ¾” crushed rock. We started with removing brush, weeds, and reorganizing her boulders in a union form fashion. Then we did some minor grading and placed approx. 4” of ¾” crushed rock around the perimeter of her home.

After

As part of the fire break work, we located and exposed the customers septic tank and installed two 12” tall risers with green lids for easy access to the tank for future pumping & cleaning. Then placed boulders along the perimeter of the tank and finished with the ¾” crushed rock as shown in the main picture above.

Our past customer reached out to us and needed a solution to support the edge of his driveway and parking area. We came up with a solution that he liked and was within his budget. So we built a retaining wall using precast concrete blocks and placed a subdrain system behind the wall for proper drainage. We backfilled and finished the wall with 1”crushed rock.

Customer was concerned about the gravel pad in the storage shed, the gravel was coming out underneath the back wall of the shed. The contractor that built the shed did not properly grade the pad to support the gravel. So, we built up the dirt grade behind the shed to the proper elevation to support the gravel pad and give good drainage away from the back of shed. Finished with 1” crushed rock.

Customer wanted more space behind the back of the white metal shop. So, we came up with a plan to excavate an additional 4 feet behind the shop with the owner installing a landscape wall using railroad ties. We placed a subdrain system behind the wall and backfilled with rock and a 6” dirt cap on top. Finished the area with 1” crushed rock sloping away from the back of the shop for good drainage.
